Ron Tucker

Executive Producer, producer, writer, and military technical advisor for Good-To-Go Video and President of Sandbar Productions, LLC based in Beaufort, SC.

Ron Tucker served nearly 22 years in the United States Marine Corps. He rose from the ranks to Staff Sergeant, to Chief Warrant Officer-4, and retired in 1992 at the rank of Captain. He's a graduate of the University of South Carolina and earned a Masters degree from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri. He is a 1996 graduate of Leadership Beaufort and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce. He is also President of the Kiwanis Club of Beaufort and was recently elected as the Carolina's Kiwanis District Division 21 Lieutenant Governor-Elect-Designate 2009-2010. He was named the 2005 Beaufort Kiwanian of the Year.

Actively involved in many professional organizations, he is a member of the International Documentary Association in Los Angeles, the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers in New York, Charter Member of the Carolina Film Alliance, and is the Chairman of the Beaufort Regional Film Commission.

He is proactive with many Marine Corps groups such as the Marine Corps Association, Marine Corps League, Marine Corps Mustang Association, Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Second Marine Division Association, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and the Marine Corps Combat Correspondent's Association.

During his military career he served in many enlisted and officer positions which included infantryman, platoon sergeant, administrative clerk, Adjutant, Personnel and Legal Officer duties, and served as a Protocol and Public Affairs representative on numerous occasions. His career was highlighted by over 8 years of service with the Recruit Training Regiment at Parris Island, SC and an assignment with the 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade during Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

In 1993 he founded Sandbar Productions, LLC, a coordinating production company, established to provide location management and scouting services to motion picture companies, major catalog companies, and other film and still photography professionals. In 1994 he teamed up with Steve Cooney, President/CEO of Comet Multimedia, Inc to establish a joint venture company - Good-To-Go Video. Since that time they have earned more than 25 national and international awards for video production excellence.
